• How much is a puppy?

  • Currently $1250 to $1800 for an AKC non-breeding registration.​

  • $2000 to $4000 for an AKC breeding registration.

  • Breeding rights to pre-approved established programs only.

• How much is a deposit?

  • A deposit is $250 for a puppy or hound.

    • You will get a $25 discount if you prepay your deposit on a puppy from an expecting mama only.

  • All deposits are non-refundable. No exceptions. PLEASE think it though before placing a deposit!

  • Read over the warranty/contract before placing a deposit HERE.

• Do you sale older Bloodhounds?

  • If by chance a puppy or hound does not work out with a family, we will try to find a home that fits it's needs.

  • All pricing, warranties and conditions are on a case by case basis.

• Do you offer stud service?

  • Stud service is available to approved complimenting pedigrees/programs only.

    • We do not line bred​.

    • We do not bred with pop-up breeders.

  • Stud service is $1000 (or pick/picks of the litter on a limited basis).

  • We guarantee 2 live births​​.

    • All offspring will be sold with Limited AKC registration unless otherwise agreed upon.​

• Do you offer Artificial Insemination?

  • Yes we do, to pre-approved complimenting pedigrees/programs only.

  • AI service is $1000 (or pick of the litter on a limited basis).

    • Collect & deliver fees are the buyer expense​.

    • AI has a lower percentage of success over natural conception.

    • There is no live birth puppy guarantee with AI. Please do your research.

    • All offspring will be sold with Limited AKC registration unless otherwise agreed upon.​

• Can I have recommendations?

  • Absolutely! We can give buyer and breeder recommendations as well as from our vet! We want you to feel good about selecting us as your breeder.

• What is lifetime support?

  • We are there for you, for the life of your puppy. Ask questions, share pictures, give recommendations, anything! 10 weeks  or 10 years old, we are there for you. We do NOT sell you a puppy and walk away. We mean it when we say, we are in this together for the life of your puppy!

• Can I visit The Dam Lodge farm to pick out  my puppy?

  • No. Unfortunately under our veterinarian's ​ recommendation that is not advised. 

  • Canine Parvovirus and Canine Influenza can be detrimental to a puppy who hasn't had their series of puppy shots. Petting a dog or cat can possible bring those cooties here.

  • Puppies are born with NO immune system, they cannot even regulate their own body temperature until they are 4 weeks old.

  • Our world health situation is constantly posing threats to us and those around us. We love  our bloodhounds and puppies enough to kept their well being first and foremost.

• Have the puppies been socialized?

  • The puppy comes well socialized and animal interactions. Our goal is to have happy puppies with a great temperament! Check out their fun puppy playroom HERE.

• Have the puppies been seen by a veterinarian?

  • YES! The puppy is seen by our vet and is cleared for its new home!

• What vaccines has the puppy have?

  • The puppy will come with age appropriate vaccinations.

• Have the puppies been dewormed?

  • The puppy is dewormed every 2 weeks until it goes to its forever home.

• Do you have a health guarantee?

  • All new 8- 15 week old puppies will come with a 2-year health warranty for any congenital defects.

  • The new puppy will be healthy, satisfaction guaranteed! Please look over the warranty/contract HERE.

  • Re-homing bloodhounds will have a case by case health warranty.

• What kind of AKC registration is there?

  • AKC Limited Registration is for puppies that are going to be pets, hunting companions, even hunt test or other AKC or UKC sanctioned event contestants.  They will NOT however, be used as breeding bloodhounds.

  •  AKC Full Registration is for people who intend to breed their bloodhound and /or being actively shown in the dog show conformation ring. 

• Can I buy a puppy with a limited registration and change to full later?

  • That decision can be made by The Dam Lodge later ONLY to pre-approved breeding programs.

    • If approved. once the fee difference is paid, we can apply to have the limited status removed with AKC.

    • This is solely at the discretion of The Dam Lodge Bloodhounds.​

  • A bloodhound purchased with Limited, non-breeding AKC registration will NOT be bred under any circumstance.

  • ​Litigation can and will used on those who bred under a Limited, non-breeding AKC registration​​ purchase.

• Do you deliver?

  • We offer a limited cutesy delivery. It can be found HERE.

  • Delivery is always based on our government directives.

• How much is my delivery fee?

  • This can vary do to destination and carrier fees changing constantly.

    • ​We can price a flight nanny for you. This is at the buyer expense ​(if the puppy meets the airline regulations).

    • You can elect to fly here/fly home with your puppy (in cabin) using this method.​​ Contact us for details HERE.
    • We can price flying cargo to select airports. This is at the expense of the buyer.

    • NOTE: Crate size and weight determine the price for cargo delivery. 

    • NOTE: Flight nanny fee determines price for cabin delivery.

    • *Delivery rate are subject to change per the fees or the carrier and government directives.*

• Do you deliver to Canada?

  • The border is currently closed for delivery to Canada.

  • Delivery is always based on our government directives.

  • We can explore delivery to other countries.
